About MyCamy

Who runs MyCamy

This site is operated by MyCamy. The service is a small independent project, not part of any larger network, and it does not resell user data. Every page of the site is served over HTTPS, and the source of the public pages is kept deliberately simple so that it can be audited.

How random video matching works

When you press Start Video Chat, the site picks a profile from the pool of people who are currently available and streams that person’s pre-recorded introduction to you. Pressing Next ends the current match and starts a new one immediately. There is no queue you can see and no waiting room — if nobody is available the page says so instead of spinning forever.

Two filters are available before you start: gender and, when unlocked, country. Guests get a small number of free matches every day; after that the site asks you to create an account, which is what stores your diamond balance and your unlocked photos.

Diamonds, paid photos and what is not for sale

Diamonds are the single in-site currency. They are used for two optional things: unlocking paid photos on the Discover page, and unlocking the gender filter. Diamonds can only be earned by completing daily tasks on the site — checking in, spending time on the platform, watching profiles. There is no top-up, no card payment and no subscription anywhere in the product.

Paid photos are blurred on the client and unlock per account. Free photos are never blurred, and nothing about the video matching itself is paywalled.

Safety, moderation and data

Sessions are live and unrecorded. You stay anonymous for the whole session: the site never asks for your real name, your phone number or your address. Reports made from inside a chat go to a human moderator, and accounts that break the rules are removed from the matching pool entirely.

Our safety rules follow widely published public guidance rather than something invented in-house. If you want to read the same material we used as a baseline, these are good starting points:

• How to recognize and avoid phishing scams — U.S. Federal Trade Commission, consumer advice.
• Safety tips for online communication — ConnectSafely, a non-profit internet safety organisation.
• Online safety tips — StaySafe.org, National Cyber Security Alliance resources.

Frequently asked questions

Is MyCamy really free?

Yes. Starting a video chat costs nothing. Diamonds only exist for optional extras, and the only way to get them is by completing daily tasks on the site. There are no subscriptions, no card payments and no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account to video chat?

No. You can start chatting as a guest. An account is only needed once you have used the free daily matches, because it is what stores your diamond balance and your unlocked photos.

Are the video chats recorded?

No. Sessions are live and unrecorded. The video you see is streamed for the duration of the match and is not stored on our servers.

How do you handle reports of abuse?

Every profile can be reported from inside the chat. Reports are reviewed by a human moderator, and accounts that break the rules are removed from the matching pool. You can also email the abuse address listed below.

Why are some photos blurred?

Blurred photos are paid content. They stay blurred until the viewer unlocks them with diamonds earned from daily tasks. Free photos are always shown in full.

Who can use MyCamy?

Adults aged 18 and over only. Minors are not permitted to use the service under any circumstances.
